Bridging the gap

Internal communications programme seamlessly linking employees with IT.

Global professional services company, KPMG, approached us to help it with a major internal communications project. Its workforce demanded increasing flexibility to work remotely or across multiple locations, which had major implications in terms of IT provision and working practices across the business. To help manage the change we were asked to conduct a consultation exercise across the entire UK workforce, engaging with all parts of the business and covering a variety of employees, from office workers up to C level executives.

This consultation enabled the firm to accurately segment their workforce by working pattern, grade and role, which in turn helped identify IT requirements and optimum working pattern by employee segment. To ensure these findings would scale up across the business, we followed up the consultation with a company-wide survey, which confirmed the findings.

To launch the internal communications across KPMG, key messages and communications were also developed to introduce and facilitate the programme’s roll-out.
