We’ve just launched an exciting campaign for the University of Edinburgh. The University was looking to start a conversation with its students to find out more about their experience at Edinburgh and what matters most to them.
A key aim for the University was to ensure its students feel heard and well informed about how the University is using student feedback to shape their time at Edinburgh.
It was felt that the University needed to provide a platform for honest, straightforward communication and collaboration between the institution and its students; as well as between the students themselves.
The multi-channel digital campaign is brought to life using the line “On the same page as you” underlining the University’s intent: to be on the same page as its students. This is then communicated using text books as a visual device, with messages highlighted (much as a student would highlight notes while studying or revising).
This core campaign idea provides a great platform for engagement of students in a sincere and open manner, across a variety of media channels. The multi-channel digital campaign has included a motion graphics film, outdoor/ambient in the form of lamp post wraps, social media, online, press, print and a PR launch that invited students to share their views. Other activity includes a Google+ Hangout where an online, real time discussion took place between students and one of the University’s Vice Principals. This was publicised via press advertising and email campaigns. We’re looking forward to seeing how the campaign progresses over the next few months.
