Do pizzas Tweet? They do when they’re Cosmo’s!

We’ve been working with Cosmo’s Pizza to develop their brand and digital strategy.

From their Edinburgh base, Cosmo’s supply their pizza brand across Scotland to major supermarkets such as Tesco, Sainsburys, ASDA, Morrisons, Waitrose and Scotmid. To promote their brand, we advised Cosmo’s on a Scotland-wide grand tasting tour. This has seen the famous Haggis, Scottish Triple Cheese, Bacon and Mushroom, Italian Pepperoni, Margherita and the new Spicy BBQ Chicken all take to the road for mobile tastings at selected supermarkets. The tasting tour started in May and will keep rolling into 2013. By August, 68 tastings had delivered thousands of delicious slices to scores of new Cosmo’s fans at every stop!

Over and above the tasting tour, we established a fresh brand proposition for Cosmo’s incorporating new messaging, a memorable logo, beautiful packaging and a tasty website. Cosmo’s rich heritage of traditional cooking permeates the whole strategy.

We’ve also introduced the brand to social media. Cosmo’s have been keeping the brand conversation going with both their new and existing pizza friends on Facebook. And we didn’t stop there. Fans can keep up with news, track the pizza taste tour, check out the “Win a year’s worth of Cosmo’s pizza” competition or express themselves with the Pizza Art application we created! And the brand is Tweeting too!

Have all these efforts worked? You bet. The Facebook fan base grows on average 20% per week. You should see what that’s doing for sales!
