In 2013 we created an identity, designed and then built a website for The Art Deco Building in Glasgow.
The building originally opened in 1934, as part of the Paramount cinema chain. Having closed in January 2006 it has recently been redeveloped into leisure space intended for use as a hotel, restaurant or bar.
Our brief was to create an identity and website design to highlight the building’s architecture and rich heritage as a stunning art deco building. We also need to convey its versatility as a commercial property and its location adjacent to a large development by PRUPIM on 1 West Regent Street, Glasgow.
Our identity design was inspired by the shape of the building and its art deco heritage. We also developed a compact, horizontally scrolling website design with all essential information close to hand and clear calls-to-action to encourage further enquiries.
